Visiting Milk Baba in Nepal-Katmandu

Our promised to visit Milk Baba was satisfied!  In December we finally made it across and pass India to Katmandu to keep a long ago promise to Sri Guru.

With much desire  and hoped to have Sri Guru came with us to India to enjoy warm weather; as we were afraid he was not getting out much.   We took a chance and purchased a flight for Krishna Das- Milk Baba from Katmandu to India. Exited to have him travel with us and to be sure we took pictures.  Seeing the magnificent Himalayan Mountains was intoxicating  Unfortunately, Milk Baba's health was very concerning and it became apparent he would not be able to go anywhere, the only thing we could do was make him company for the time we had there.  In the distance one could see Mount Everest, and Mount Kailash among others.  During our stay we saw him peacefully taking in life.  Milk Baba as always was kind.  This time he did not speak much due to the nature of so much discomfort.  We worried about him, but soon he showed us that he was determine and we both admired him for that.  He got well enough to take us on a short trip to his Temple.  It was beautiful to see a dream manifested.  After wonderful time together we part sad to part without him and at the same time we were both supper happy knowing he felt better.

Shi Guru sent his love and blessing to everyone.

News from Milk Baba in Nepal

Last week we managed to get in touch with Milk-Baba; he was very happy to hear from us and wondered when we would be arriving to visit him.  We spoke of the developments of the Temple which it is finished.  He is preparing to conduct a blessing and Pugia.  He asked about his devotees in America and sent his blessing.

Thinking of Babaji Milk Baba

It has been a while now since we last spoke to Sri Guru, but I think of him often and I smile knowing that his is doing well.  This week here in San Francisco at The Vedanta Society the passing of Swami Prabuddhananda is being observed and worship ceremonies are taking place.  I feel fortunate to have met him, and blessed at having found myself at the door of the temple when he was being wheel away to the hospital and our eyes met.  On that sunny afternoon, I found myself walking and a feeling light, the feeling had lead me to go up the street and it was at that moment we greeted each other.  After watching members of the community see him away, I decide to enter, walking up the stairs I enter the room and sat in silence for a little while taking in the quietness of the space.  Silence and stillness has the power to energize and free us from the mind.

I can not help but feel rejoiced on this day, for is not a time of sadness but a moment to celebrate in the unity of all.

"Sing"

Sing with joy for love is boundless and eternal
Life, has seas to run through the veins
sound, has scape the lips
warmth, the body
Light, escaping
has joined the Universe!

Do not cry!
Do not fear!
Sing with joy
for love vibrates
in universal light!

Bound to you
he/she is living eternally
in secret silence
and will live
there
with you
as one

This Blog Added to Milk Baba Facebook Page

As a means of improving the network of information about Milk Baba, I've linked this page to the Milk Baba Facebook Page (the only active Milk Baba community in the world- maybe Universe). Welcome to this BABAblog. It represents some of the recent history of Babaji in California, especially as two of his devotees (myself, Manohar Das, and Daya Mai Dasi) have experienced his presence.

What a fitting day to do this bit of service on behalf of the great Guru. It is Christmas Day, a day of Universal peace and harmony, whatever your religion (or non-religion). Babaji of course espouses religion as the proper way for all humans and would often sing to himself (really rap) the words:

"Religion, Truth: Human Job!"

So religion is akin to truth, and truth tied to religion. The wisdom of Paramahansa Sri Ram Krishna Das is something to ponder as we enter the new year.

With Blessings for all!

Milk Baba in Khatmandu, building Kuti near Bagmati River

Knowing my dear Milk Baba is in his hometown of Kathmandu, I reflect on what it is like to feel at home. Having returned to California, I feel at Home, and I look forward to building a kuti, a home, for Milk Baba, for spirit, for peace and bliss, wherever a home is to be found. Sita Ram, and blessings for the New Year, Manohar Das
